The latest travel updates to our destinations

Following the latest news around the world related to the Omicron variant of Covid-19, there are new rules and regulations you should be aware of before traveling to study with Alpadia Language Schools. Restrictions and testing requirements per destination country are detailed below.

We are pleased to say that all our schools in these destinations continue to be open as usual. In the event that students test positive shortly after arrival or during their studies, they are required to self-isolate as per local government guidelines.

  • All travelers must take a recognized test (PCR, LAMP, TMA or Antigen) within 48 hours prior of travel.

  • All vaccinated or recovered travelers arriving from high risk countries can enter Germany without the need for quarantine as long as the proof of vaccination or recovery is uploaded to the entry portal before arrival.

  • Any other travelers from high risk countries are obligated to quarantine for a period of 10 days. The quarantine can be ended early if proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test is uploaded to the portal, but only after the fifth day following arrival

  • Students who attend our Berlin and Freiburg schools must be vaccinated or take daily tests. Tests are free of charge in nearby test centers or can be taken at our schools for a free of €5.

  • Masks are mandatory everywhere inside the school as well as public spaces. Please also note that only fully vaccinated people can enter public spaces, including non-essential shops and events.

For further information, visit Germany's government website

  • All travelers must take a PCR test within 48 hours of travel.

  • Fully vaccinated travelers arriving from Europe, Schengen or a Green list country can enter without restrictions.

  • Non-vaccinated travelers arriving from green list countries must take a PCR or antigen test 72 to 24 hours before arrival.

  • Travelers arriving from orange list countries must take a PCR test 48 hours before arrival and self-isolate for seven day days, including the fully vaccinated.

  • Masks are mandatory everywhere inside the school as well as public spaces.

  • All travelers entering Switzerland must complete a government entry form

  • All travelers must take a PCR test upon arrival and have a follow up test within four to seven days, if you are not vaccinated or recovered.

  • All students must present a valid COVID pass to enter the school, and masks are mandatory everywhere inside the school.

  • Travelers that are not vaccinated or recovered must provide PCR test within 72 hours before arriving, or Antigen of less than 24 hours.
