Learn German at Alpadia Zug

Situated in the prestigious St. Michael College, less than five minutes away from the town centre and lakeside, our course centre offers the best quality facilities for a German language study stay.

The centre is equipped with bright classrooms, a study room, spacious and comfortable bedrooms and a games area. For relaxation and fun, student lounges are fitted with billiard and football tables and pinball machines, TV and DVD players. The campus, which is spread out over two hectares, also includes a large sports complex with ping-pong tables, a football pitch, basketball, handball and volleyball courts, a skating ramp and a gym hall.

Learn German at Alpadia Zug and experience a unique bilingual and multicultural environment! Our teachers will encourage you to practise your conversational skills and help you apply your knowledge to everyday situations. Group exercises and class debates are instigated to inspire you to share your ideas, dramatically improving your German level and building your self-confidence. With our Standard, Intensive and Standard + Private classes, you have the opportunity to select a course intensity that best suits your learning objectives.

Every weekday benefit from three hours of language classes (4 lessons) in small groups with our motivating and dynamic teachers.

25 lessons per week

Benefit from an additional lesson per day, focussed mainly on oral communication and the development of common projects. Five extra lessons each week are ideal for gaining maximum benefit from your group classes and encourages rapid progress.

+ 5 lessons per week

In order to make maximum progress, benefit from an additional five private lessons of 45 minutes per week to reach your personal objectives. Rapid progress is the goal. Private lessons can only be combined with the Standard course.



Student Residence

Triple room

The high-quality residence is composed of comfortable triple bedrooms with washbasins, most of which boast an impressive view over the lake and the town of Zug. There is a communal bathroom on each floor with several showers and toilets. With the classrooms, bedrooms and dining hall all on the same campus, it is convenient and easy to get around! With plenty of leisure areas, including table tennis, basketball and football fields as well as a TV/DVD room, you will find lots of spaces to interact with other students and staff.


With a generous selection of things to do and places to see, our rich programme of activities at Alpadia Zug will keep you busy and entertained each and every day, giving you many opportunities to practise your German skills and make friends with other students from all over the world. 

Standard included activities

Discover a whole range of water based activities as well as numerous sports, in and around the camp. Whether you want to soak up the sun, swim in the lake, play a heart-pumping game of basketball, enjoy a leisurely hour on a pedalo, or simply relax with new friends, you will find you never get bored with our daily programme of activities.

Optional complementary activities

For those students who want a little bit extra, an optional Premium+ activity can be booked. This allows for three sessions per week to be dedicated to Creative arts, Tennis or Watersports activities.

Premium+ Creative Arts

Explore your creative side using a variety of techniques. From watercolour to graffiti art, from designing your own t-shirt to creating a collaborative work of art, you will find this to be a highly satisfying experience.

Premium+ Tennis

Enhance your skills and improve your techniques of this demanding and highly enjoyable sport. Under the guidance of an experienced coach, you will receive tips and training on how to better your game!

Premium+ Watersports Plus

Enjoy the clear waters of Lake Zug and experience your afternoons engaged in one of the following fun sportive activities: water-skiing, sailing or stand-up paddle.
